In my prayer, Mary came to me saying "look at my heart." She invited me to lean on her motherhood in the ways that others had failed. Mary showed me the way to beatitude through her life and friendship and to see that when we fail to aim towards holiness like hers, we fail to be holy friends, sisters, and mothers.

Halle had the pleasure of speaking to the Women of Worth women's group on Our Lady, My Mother, an in-depth look into the ways Mary shows up as a sister and mother for all women as the woman that we need in our lives when other women fail to. Utilizing Scriptures, theological teachings on Mary, and anecdotal stories, Halle led the group to see how Mary wants everyone, especially her daughters, to look at her Immaculate Heart in times of our own struggle and suffering.

For most women, their struggles come from the ways women who were supposed to be their mothers, mothers-in-law, sisters, and friends failed to love them as Christ did and failed to mirror their lives after Mary’s. In Halle's own experience with the failure of women to live up to their God-given expectations, she shared stories from her life about how Mary invited her to look at Mary's Immaculate Heart and into the sorrows of her own life. Through Mary’s daughterhood, motherhood, sisterhood, and friendships Halle presents how God designs the relational roles between women and how we are called to aim for Mary’s excellence every day by drawing near to her.
